Don't Be A Dick About It

Don't Be A Dick About It

Meet Peter. He's autistic, obsessed with Survivor, and stages full eviction ceremonies whenever a family member gets on his nerves. His brother Matthew is trying to overcome a serious fear of dogs, with Peter helping him in the way only a brother would: partly supportive, partly making everything more difficult.

Winner of the IDFA Audience Award, Don’t Be a Dick About It follows the two brothers as they spend a summer at home in suburban Maryland, mostly annoying each other.

Shot by their cousin Ben Mullinkosson, it captures the rhythm of their relationship perfectly. The arguments that disappear as quickly as they start, the constant teasing, and the moments when one of them quietly steps in for the other. It might be the most accurate film ever made about having a brother.
